World Book Day

March 2

worldbookdayletter_20230224125437878

We hope that you’ll join us as we come together to celebrate our World Book Day.

We will have lots of fun activities taking place throughout the day including:

• An Egglescliffe Book Swap Shop: Please drop off your unwanted books in the box outside the
hall doors. Whether or not you’ve got a book to bring along to swap, come along from 2.30pm,
enjoy a cuppa at our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and browse and find something you might like to
read with your child.

We will be dressing up this year: We want the children to use their costumes to share their
favourite books and we encourage you to use things you already have at home.
• Just 3 items: can children create a character from just 3 items from home.
• Prefer non-fiction? Create a prop to share your interest with others
• Be creative and customise a t-shirt
• The cardboard challenge: upcycle and create a key prop or clothing item.
• Make badges to advertise your book or character.
